1. Counselling Services
 

Louise Uys Wellness Counselling provides wellness counselling services within the professional scope of practice of a registered Specialist Wellness Counsellor.

Counselling does not replace medical, psychiatric, psychological or other specialised professional care. Where a client's needs fall outside the counsellor's professional scope of practice, an appropriate referral may be recommended.
 

2. Website Information
 

The information and resources provided on this website are for general information and psychoeducational purposes and should not be regarded as individual counselling, medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.

Use of this website does not establish a counsellor client relationship.
 

3. Appointments and Bookings
 

Counselling sessions are by appointment only.

Submitting an enquiry or requesting an appointment does not guarantee a booking. An appointment is confirmed once the booking requirements have been completed and confirmation has been received.

New clients may be required to complete and electronically sign a Counselling Agreement before their first counselling session.
 

4. Fees and Payment
 

Current counselling fees are provided during the booking process.

Payment is required in accordance with the payment terms provided when an appointment is booked. Where payment is required in advance, an appointment may only be regarded as confirmed once payment has been received.
 

5. Cancellations and Rescheduling
 

Clients are requested to provide at least 24 hours' notice when cancelling or rescheduling an appointment.

Cancellations, missed appointments and late changes may be subject to the cancellation policy contained in the Counselling Agreement and communicated during the booking process.
 

6. Complimentary Introductory Calls
 

Where offered, a complimentary introductory call provides an opportunity for a prospective client to ask questions and determine whether they would like to proceed with counselling.

An introductory call is not a counselling session and does not establish an ongoing counsellor client relationship.
 

7. Confidentiality
 

Counselling is treated as confidential within the applicable professional, ethical and legal boundaries.

Full information regarding confidentiality and its limitations is provided in the Counselling Agreement.
 

8. Privacy and Personal Information
 

Personal information is handled in accordance with applicable South African data protection requirements, including the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

9. Emergencies
 

Louise Uys Wellness Counselling is not an emergency or crisis service.

If you are experiencing an immediate medical or mental health emergency, are in immediate danger, or require urgent assistance, please contact the appropriate emergency service or healthcare provider.
 

10. Intellectual Property
 

Unless otherwise stated, the written content, resources and original materials on this website belong to Louise Uys Wellness Counselling and may not be reproduced, distributed or used for commercial purposes without prior written permission.
 

11. External Links
 

This website may contain links to third party websites or resources for convenience or additional information. Louise Uys Wellness Counselling is not responsible for the content, availability or privacy practices of independent third party websites.
